The project is organized by the Institute of Architecture of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland and will take place in Rome in the Swiss Institute in Rome.
During the Summer School “Learning from Rome” we will study a dense Roman neighbourhood. The results and a small publication of the work will be presented at a panel discussion on urban density at the Swiss Institute in Rome by the end of the Summer School.
Teachers being present during the entire Summer School are: Harald Stühlinger, Professor for the History of Architecture and Urban Design / Susanne Vécsey, Professor for Architecture, Design and Construction / Philomène Hoel, graphic designer and artist, London / Giaime Meloni, photographer, Paris.
Further contributors are: Paola Guarini, architect assistant professor at the Department of Architecture, Sapienza Università di Roma / Victoria Easton, Associate Christ &Gantenbein, Basel and researcher ETH Zürich / Luca Reale, Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture, Sapienza Università di Roma
