Brief Introduction
As one of the fastest growing countries in the world, China has built a large number of new buildings in the past ten years. Many historic buildings face the fate of being dismantled in the pace of urban renewal. How to protect and reuse them properly will be a challenge for Chinese architects in the future. As an expert of modern architecture protection in China, Professor Zhou Qi will take a number of renovation projects he completed to explain how the Chinese architects deal with the historic buildings. At the same time, he will talk about the design and construction process of People's Daily HQ, a high-rise building whose design has just won the a Design Golden award in Milan.
